Cinespace’s Founder, Alex Pissios, To Exit The Company

Alex Pissios is the CEO and founder of Cinespace, which TPG Real Estate Partners intends to acquire. Alex Pissios has made a good impact on the film industry, even bringing producer Dick Wolf on board as a part of his crew. Wolf is a well-known producer who has directed many great shows, such as Chicago Fire, and Chicago P.D. Having great talent in his crew was a big bonus for Alex Pissios.

Regardless, most individuals believe TPG’s takeover is for a good cause. This belief is because TPG is a successful firm investing in the entertainment industry and wants to take Cinespace’s name to new heights. TPG already owns Creative Artist Agency, a well-known Hollywood talent agency, STX Entertainment, Univision, and Vice, among other companies.

Furthermore, Illinois Governor JB Pritzker told Deadline that TPG’s investment in Cinespace and the state’s booming film industry was “amazing.” Increasing the state’s television and media production capacity, according to Pritzker, would open up opportunities for tens of thousands of Illinois people. These options include job training and apprenticeship programs, which have been hallmarks of Cinespace’s operations.

Furthermore, Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot told Deadline that she is looking forward to the acquisition enhancing the city’s content creation capabilities. The mayor is excited about the job prospects and entertainment productions it will bring to the community. The exact date on which Alex Pissios will leave the company is unknown, although he is expected to stay for a few more months to ensure the company is in excellent hands before departing.
