From 1995 to 1998, he served as the company’s president, chief operating officer, and executive vice president until 2000. During this time, the company earned US$1 billion annually, and its market value reached US$72 billion. From 2000 to 2003, Mr. Lindsay was the company’s executive vice president and president of Teck Resources Limited. From 2003-2004, he served as the Executive Chairman of Teck Cominco Metals Ltd.
During his 12-year tenure, Mr. Lindsay fulfilled his vision of improving the quality of life in developing countries by investing in industry growth and development through infrastructure projects such as schools, hospitals, and airports while working with the United Nations, World Bank, and International Finance Corporation (IFC).
