Former Exec at Natixis John Hailer Appointed to Board of Directors
InspireMD, Inc. (Nasdaq: NSPR) announced that John Hailer had been appointed to the Company’s Board of Directors. The appointment is effective immediately, and Mr. Hailer will serve as a member of the Compensation Committee and Audit Committee of InspireMD’s Board.

John Hailer, who is currently on the board of directors at Natixis, has been appointed to the Board of Directors at InspireMD.
John Hailer has an extensive background in global banking and finance. He has held senior management positions with Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, Wells Fargo Bank, and Société Générale Private Investment Group (SGPIG). Mr. Hailer was most recently a Managing Director at Natixis Securities International Limited, responsible for building out its capital markets business across Europe and the Asia Pacific.
Hailer has an Extensive Background in Global Banking and Finance
Mr. Hailer has an extensive global banking and finance background, having worked at Natixis, a French investment bank, for 20 years. In his roles as General Counsel and later Chief Risk Officer for Natixis, Mr. Hailer oversaw the company’s legal department and risk management functions, including compliance, audit, and surveillance in various countries worldwide.
In addition to his work at Natixis, Mr. Hailer serves on the Board of Directors of Cara Therapeutics Inc., a biotechnology company developing small molecule drugs focused on central nervous system disorders; Alnylam Pharmaceuticals Inc., a biopharmaceutical company, applying RNA interference technologies to discover novel therapeutics for genetically defined diseases; and Trans World Technologies (TWC), an aerospace manufacturer headquartered in St. Louis that supplies aircraft parts globally.
Hailer has deep expertise in the healthcare sector
Mr. Hailer has been a member of the Board of Directors for several healthcare companies, including Varian Medical Systems, Inc., where he was also Chairman of the Audit Committee and Vice Chair of Corporate Governance. Additionally, Mr. Hailer served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Genzyme Corporation (a biotechnology company) from 1999 through September 2002, where he was responsible for all financial activities, including mergers and acquisitions transactions; capital raising; working capital management; strategic planning; budgeting processes; investor relations initiatives; treasury functions including hedging strategies and credit risk management matters; internal controls over financial reporting functions related to accounting policies as well as disclosure controls.
