How Ben Roethlisberger Became a Legend in Ohio and Pennsylvania

In his single season as starting quarterback for Findlay High School, Roethlisberger set state records for passing yards and touchdown involvements.

The close links between Roethlisberger and the staff at Miami (Ohio) led to the quarterback becoming the starter as a red-shirt freshman and holding onto the role throughout his college career. By the time he entered the NFL draft, Ben Roethlisberger held virtually every record for the Red Hawks. Despite completing only 38 games, Roethlisberger passed 3,000 yards of passing each season he played for the Red Hawks.

Roethlisberger’s success after debuting as a quarterback at Findlay High School continued into the professional game. Drafted at number 11 by the Pittsburgh Steelers, Roethlisberger, Roethlisberger won the starting job in the second game of his rookie season and lost only one game, the AFC Championship game.
