Why Singapore Made Sense
Fulcher incorporated RingMD in Singapore for practical reasons: the regulatory environment was business-friendly, the city-state was geographically central to the markets he cared about most, and operating there meant he could move quickly between India, Indonesia, and the broader Southeast Asian region. Building relationships with governments, hospitals, and healthcare providers required proximity. Singapore provided it. Over the following years, RingMD expanded into a full healthcare platform encompassing triage, patient data, and provider tools that connected patients to care at costs as low as two dollars per traveler per night through a partnership with PROVision Partners International in the hotel and cruise industries.
Compliance and Scale
Justin Fulcher stepped back from RingMD in January 2025 after nearly a decade leading the company. By then, the platform operated in more than fifty countries, held 1.5 million patient records, and supported 10,000 active healthcare providers. It had earned FedRAMP Moderate authorization and achieved FISMA and HIPAA compliance, running on AWS infrastructure specifically engineered for rural connectivity and low-bandwidth environments. Forbes recognized Fulcher on its 30 Under 30 Asia list in 2017.
