Kfir Gavrieli is an acclaimed expert in many different fields. The subjects that he specializes in are small businesses, economics, and the economy of different cities in Israel.
Kfir Gavrieli is an Israeli businessman, economist, and entrepreneur. He has a BA from Tel Aviv University and an MBA from Columbia University. Kfir was involved with the founding 6 companies, including Clal Insurance Company Ltd., the leading insurer in Israel; Vashot Computers Ltd., Israel’s largest computer company; Tefen Oil Exploration Ltd.; The Haifa Bay Development Corporation, a public company that built the oil refinery at Haifa Bay; and Coke-Cola Bottling Co. of Israel the Coca-Cola franchisee in Israel. In 1994, he was elected as a Member of the Board of Directors of “Israel Electric Corporation, the monopoly generator and distributor in Israel; later 1998 – 2004, he served as its Chairman.
In 2009 Kfir Gavrieli was appointed Director General at The Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Labor. Kfir Gavrieli is a Chairman on the boards of many companies, including Clal Insurance Company Ltd., Tefen Oil Exploration Ltd., and The Development Authority for Small Towns & Villages in North and South Districts of Israel.
In the last decade, he has been involved in several non-profit boards. Kfir has headed the following non-profit public service boards: Chairman of The Yeshiva Heritage Museum, Tel Aviv; Chairman of the Board of The “Amichai Steuermann Mall,” Tel Aviv; And member of The Israeli Council for Christian – Jewish Relations.
In addition to his extensive business experience, he is a highly regarded economist with many years of research on economics and historical economic data. He created and headed a research group that researched Israel’s economic dataIsrael’s48 – 2006.
His economic knowledge was very helpful in many different fields, such as being a member of the committees that nominated judges for Israel’s Supreme CourtIsrael’ser of a committee that nominated senior executives for The Bank of Israel, and a member of a committee that nominated senior executives for the Ministry Of Finance.
